I love everything about this deceivingly healthy treat. Medjool dates create a creamy, caramel flavor and sea salt adds the perfect balance of salty and sweet. Eat it alone, with apple wedges or serve in/alongside your favorite vegan dessert.

Raw Salted Caramel Dip


  • 20 medjool dates pitted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp coconut oil optional
  • 1/2 cup water or coconut cream
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt


  1. Blend all ingredients and in your Vitamix or food processor on high. You may need to stop to scrape down the sides with a spatula and use the blender tamper until a rich, creamy consistency is reached. Makes about 1 cup.

Note: if dates are not soft you may need to soak them in warm or boiling water before blending
